Brian M. Taylor, AIA has successfully earned his Master of Businesss Administration from the NJIT School of Management. Mr. Taylor graduated with honors, being inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society, as well as receiving the "Professor's Excellence Award". Mr. Taylor intends to use this newfound knowledge to better serve his clients. |

Brian M. Taylor, AIA succeeded in gaining zoning board approvals for a major addition to and complete renovation of a 30,000 sq. ft. mixed use building in downtown Plainfield. The existing three story industrial building on Front Street is planned to be converted into retail stores, offices and nine apartment units. The construction cost is estimated at $5 million. |

Brian M. Taylor, AIA volunteered for the Annual “Science Fest” day of learning at Holland Brook School in Readington, New Jersey. Along with other professionals and science related industries, Mr. Taylor gave a hands-on learning presentation to the Holland Brook School fifth graders titled “The Science of Architecture”, which was a look at how natural forces affect buildings and how buildings are designed to resist them. The lecture was followed up with a fun exercise using toothpicks and marshmallows to build rigid “structures” that were then tested against simulated seismic and wind forces. This is the third year Mr. Taylor has dedicated his time at this event and has been invited back for 2010. |

Local Westfield home takes the 2008 Devlin Preservation Award for Historic Preservation. As the Architect of record, Brian M. Taylor, AIA was invited to attend the ceremony which recognized the home, Owner and Architect for this award which is given yearly to buildings for the preservation, restoration and revitalization of their architectural integrity. |

Firm of Brian M. Taylor Architects commissioned to design a 12,000 square foot bed and breakfast in Jamaica’s Discovery Bay. The building is to include 10 luxury suites with community living and dining spaces, as well a private pool, courtyard and gardens. This is the first international project taken on by the firm. |
